This will be my fourth incarnation of a children's  school, inspired by mothering 3 children in Rio Arriba County of Northern, NM. My 1st school inspired by my daughter, Indira, at age 2 1/2 years and her older brother 5 y.o. attending a Head Start in Velarde.  We lived on a 1.5 acre orchard, flowers and veggies. Land was irrigated by an acequia.  We had our 2 horses, dog, cats, farmyard birds and a playground. I started it as a COOP and discovered how much my passion for educating children would mould my life's work.  While pregnant with my 3rd baby, I continuously volunteered at my 2 older children's homeschool, my mentee a master of a multi-aged school with a similar Farm School environment.  With my 3rd baby in arms, we began Melody Ranch School, outside of Eldorado, in Santa Fe County.  CYFD supervisors encouraged that the school and aftercare program be run as a Summer Camp, too!  We did not own this property and purchased  10 acres along San Marcos Springs, creating Mothers Farm School, We successfully ran our program for 12 years. Covid shut us down as a school. Parents and children came to stay via Air B & B and Hip Camp attracted to the Mothers Farm School set-up.  Since last Spring 2025 my co-director Indi and my grandson Shilo have been asking Grandma to return to Northern New Mexico and assist in rebooting Mothers Farm School at a new location.

There are growing pains, giving birth to my fourth baby, a Farm School in the Santa Fe Area. May this opportunity, hand in hand with my adult children, grandson and the forward thinking State of New Mexico Govenor bring the gifts forward; MAY THE CHILDREN OF TODAY, profit from the culmination of my life, cultivated by the water, the earth, the Sun, the Skies of infinite visibility. May the vision be brought into a professional early child care facility and multi-age facility to shower the 0-5 year old program, the 5-12 year program and the 12-21 year old program with the practices of creative imagination and harmonious learning . May the background awareness  be the Hand of Values, 5 fingers representing the CORE that inspires  my personal development and may I pay forward the knowledge and experience of

1) non-violence 2) love 3) peace 4) right action and 5) truth. Together as individuals , families, community and State, may our care and role-modeling promote wellness and goodness and share our goodwill for the wee ones all bring to Mothers Farm School.
